Adriaan Groenewald

Adriaan is a leadership strategist, author and speaker. He has engaged more top leaders than any other South African. He uncovers and shares the “Psychology of Leadership”, to progress society, by multiplying authentic leaders.

Leaders like Jacob Zuma (President of the Republic of South Africa), Richard Branson, Dr John De Martini, Dr Stephen R Covey, Robin Sharma, Deepak Chopra, Raymond Ackerman (founder Pick n Pay), Tom Boardman (former CEO Nedbank), Paul Harris (founder First Rand Group), Dr Taylor Hartman (International Best Selling Author), Mathews Phoza (ANC Treasurer), Helen Zille (Leader DA), Wendy Luhabe, Patrick Lekota, Alan Knott-Craig (founder Vodacom), Gill Marcus (Governor Reserve Bank), Coach Carlos Perreira, Francois Pienaar, Victor Matfield and many others sat with Adriaan for 40 minutes to an hour at a time while he probed their success models.

He presented the Leadership Platform Radio Show for three years, of which the third year was also broadcast on Summit TV.

Adriaan is the lead contributor in a bi-weekly leadership page in the national Business Report, read by approx 1.2 million people daily. Currently he has a weekly full page column on the back page of the Star Workplace aswell, for which he continues to interview top leaders and in which he writes about leadership and life principles. He is often invited for interviews on TV and radio platforms.

Adriaan co-authored a book with his father, Louis Groenewald called the "CEO Leadership Handbook". In 2008 he released his second book "Moving Towards Your Leadership Destiny" and is working on his next book...

He completed a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Criminology as well as a Post Graduate Business qualification from the University of Hull in the UK, which was on a Masters Degree level.

He was a manager in a large corporation, before being approached by an international consulting firm where he consulted, trained and Adriaan Groenewald coached nationally & internationally. He then founded Leadership Platform, which today is one of the vehicles through which he strives to make a difference in society.

Adriaan has published articles in CEO Magazine, Management Today, Leadership Magazine, Succeed Magazine, Journal of Marketing, Argus, Star Newspaper, Business Day, and Sunday Times.

He is a founding partner of the 'Seamless Institute' an organisation dedicated to breaking down barriers to a successful South Africa. One of the Seamless Institute and Leadership Platform initiatives that Adriaan is involved with is the HeartStart National Values Campaign, of which he is the convener. In the sporting arena he achieved junior provincial colours and later on a second Dan Black Belt in Karate.

He loves going to the bush with his wife and son; reading books, especially biographies and autobiographies; taking walks with his wife; and serving in society.
